Import Regulations in Malawi
The shipper must be in country at time of customs clearance. Shipments may be inspected.

The shipper may import used household goods and personal effects duty-free if it is arriving within six months of Customer; it is owned by Customer for a minimum of six months and are for Customer's own use and not sold or disposed of while in Malawi; and it is in reasonable quantities.

The dutiable/restricted items are items owned less than six months; books/magazines subject to censorship.

The prohibited items are as follows: firearms (Police Permit required); ammunition; radio equipment; pornographic material and plants/seeds.
