Import Regulations in Guyana
Guyana participates in different regional and international trade related organisations such as the WTO.

The shippers are required to prepare a customs declaration form. They may do this themselves or with the help of a licensed customs broker on behalf of the importer. The customs declaration form, accompanied by supporting documents, such as an invoice from the supplier, the bill of lading, license/permit(if these were required) among others, has to be lodged with Customs, when the goods arrive in Guyana. When the documents have been accepted and approved/stamped by customs, the relevant duties and/or taxes must be paid.

The inspection is conducted at the port of entry before the goods are cleared for delivery to the importer.
