Import Regulations in Chile
Here is the list of required documents: visa; Work Contract; Power of Attorney; inventory (each liftvan in shipment must have separate inventory for clearance).

Shipper must be in country at time of customs clearance.

Returning Chileans and anyone coming to work in Chile are exempt from duties on their household goods and personal effects.

The dutiable and/or restricted items are sporting guns (owner must obtain carrying permit at the Weapons Control Bureau); alcohol and tobacco products; new furniture (invoices required); caviar, pearls, synthetic furs, uncut precious, semi-precious or synthetic stones (only for personal use).

It is prohibited to import: firearms/weapons; drugs (unless for medical purposes) and pornographic material.

When shipping to Chile the shipper will meet the following charges as:
- Unstuffing - $27
- Customs manifest - $85 (separate from clearance)
