Import Regulations in Cameroon
Customs requires only one certificate of origin and no consular invoice for all imports originating from CEMAC. The invoices required are those from the supplier upon import and the exporter upon export. Generally, clearance costs are charged on the bill of entry and collected by Customs, as with the community integration tax.

Prior to embarkation for any FOB value greater than 2 million CFA francs, the SGS checks the quality, quantity, and value. The shipper is responsible for the inspection and control tax on import of goods; the rate is set at 5% of the FOB value of the relevant goods, with a minimum of 110,000 CFA francs per delivery or shipment.

The required documents include: Certificate of Residence Change; letter of transfer from the shipper’s employer; inventory detailed, valued, dated and signed (in French).
Shipper must be present at customs clearance.

Here are the dutiable/restricted items: electrical/electronic equipment if less than six months old (invoices required). Home computers are not acceptable as personal effects and will be subject to Customs duties and import taxes.

The prohibited items are as follows: weapons and ammunition; drugs; pornographic material; alcohol and other spirits are prohibited and should be sent separately.
